First Blog Entry!

I recently got sucked into seeing the new movie "Avatar." At first, I was constantly coming up with excuses not to see this movie, because I am not a fan of science fiction movies. So when I was finally forced to go see it, I was not excited at all. However, this hatred for science fiction soon passed after  watching the whole movie.

It is no wonder this film took four years to make; the cinamatography and special effects are taken to a whole new level. Everything in this movie looks so life like, at times I couldn't tell what was real and what was animated. Even though this movie reportedly took 300 million dollars to create and market, some believe that Avatar could hit $1 billion in the box office. It is also now the top December grosser ever!

With all of the work, time, and money they have put into making this movie, it has been well worth it. I reccomend seeing Avatar to anyone, even those who are a bit skeptical about science fiction movies like I was. This is not one you want to miss.
